Aussie DJ Jack McCord Critical after Bali Accident, Family Seeks Urgent Donations

Beloved Sydney DJ Jack McCord is in serious condition following a motorbike accident in Bali on Friday morning, and his family are seeking urgent help in raising funds for a Medivac flight to bring him back to Australia.

His family are seeking donations through the crowd funding site YouCaring, and are currently halfway to reaching their goal of $60,000.

You can find Jack’s YouCaring page here.

His loved ones released a statement on his progress:

Our dear friend Jack has been involved in a very serious motorcycle accident this morning in Bali. He is currently in intensive care and is undergoing an operation.

The hospital costs are already huge but we need to get him back to Austraila. Please help in whichever way you can to get Jack into the care he needs. Medivac is currently sitting at around $50,000.

We need 1000 people to donate $50 to get this over the line.

Jack has been brought to stable position but we have around 72 hours to get him to proper care in Australia please help however you can

Please be sure to add your email address and name so we can personally thank you afterwards.

PLEASE NOTE All funds will be going to my girlfriend Janina Linich as she was the only one set up with a paypal account to be able to recieve these funds.

There will also be a fundraiser held tomorrow for McCord, with details below:

McCord is a renowned house DJ, beloved in the world of Australian electronic music, and is closely affiliated with the Bang Gang crew. He was one of the original Hed Kandi DJs, and currently lives in Bali, where he works as a DJ and sound engineer, and has a one-year-old child.

This is the second such incident in recent times. Australian man Nichol White suffered serious injuries following a motorbike accident in Kerobokan last month, and was flown back to Australia following a successful campaign of donations through YouCaring.
