Renaissance man Biz Markie will join kid’s troupe Yo Gabba Gabba! at next month’s Vivid LIVE in Sydney. Adults will know Markie (real name: Marcel Hall) for almost two decades of combining hip hop and comedy without ever encroaching on terrible skit territory (okay, there may be some stinkers in his back catalogue). Kids will know Markie from his regular Yo Gabba Gabba! segment Biz’ Beat of the Day in which he teaches six year old kids how to make beats with their faces. Precious. Sydney trio Art Vs. Science have also been announced as supports, partaking in the “Super Music Friends” portion of the show. One makes music for kids the other makes infantile music. It all makes sense.
