Earlier today Ariana Grande promised to drop a bonus scene and bloopers from ‘Thank U, Next‘, her iconic 2018 breakup banger, with a much-hyped clip which played homage to Mean Girls, Bring It On, Legally Blonde and Suddenly 30.

And our girl delivered! (With a little help from the director, Hannah Lux Davis).
This is exactly what we need to get through the last little bit of Friday arvo.
The star of the bonus scene is Legally Blonde‘s Jennifer Coolidge, who is encouraged by Grande to confront her ex and reclaim her dog. It’s a wonderful recreation:
“I’m Ariana Grande and I’m her attorney… We believe that due to habeas corpus you should be allowed to keep this beautiful estate and she should get the dog.”
And Coolidge of course gets her chance to say “Thank u, next.”
Then there’s the high point of the bloopers, taken out by Kris Jenner, who has definitely watched Mean Girls just as many times as you have:
“When I was raising Ariana, I always told her that if a guy fucks with her she should just say ‘Thank u, next.’ And if she ever had sex without a condom she would get chlamydia and die. Oh, they keep me young!”
Our boy Troye Sivan also gets a little moment, speaking to camera just before Grande shoves him into a locker. “She’s gonna fuckin’ slam me, I know it,” he says. And she does. And he probably deserved it.
Looks like they had as much fun making it as I did watching it repeatedly.
