Ariana Grande Fans Are Feral After Her Sydney Gig Sold Out In 10 Secs

When Ariana Grande announced she’d be bringing her goddamn astonishing voice to three lucky Australian cities in September, fans imagined the moment they’d finally be able to nab tickets.

Well, guess what: that ticket-copping joy did quite literally last for a moment this afternooon, with some punters claiming that the entire allocation for her Sydney show sold out within ten bloody seconds.

One commenter has criticised Ticketek’s purchasing system, claiming their purchase timed out despite the site saying it was being processed.

The decision to host Grande’s Sydney gig at the 9000-seat ICC Theatre has been dragged after the insta-sellout, with adherents of the massively talented performer wondering why a larger venue wasn’t chosen.

Ticketek has said that there are currently no plans to add another date or rehouse the show, but they’ve advised keen-as punters to keep an eye on their site. Of course.

As for how and where those tickets were scooped up? A cursory glance at ticket resale sites reveals they’re being passed along to the consumer at, uh, totally normal prices:

Funny that.

For the record, Grande’s dates are as follows (if you were fast enough to beat what were most likely bots):

Tuesday, 5th September
Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne

Thursday, 9th September
ICC, Sydney

Sunday, 12th September
Brisbane Entertainment Centre, Brisbane
