You’ll Wanna Look Good On The DF For Arctic Monkeys’ Return To Oz In 2019

arctic monkeys 2019 tour announcement

Okay friends – don’t panic, but Arctic Monkeys have just announced their first Australian tour in five years. The British boys will be doing the rounds of our beautiful, Monkeys-starved country in February/March 2019, for the first time since 2014, when they were in town after the release of AM.

The four-piece will be bringing their show, off the back of the release of sixth studio album Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino, to four Australian cities (and one in New Zealand): Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane and Auckland.

At every show they’ll be ably supported by Mini Mansions, the Los Angeles band featuring members of Queens of the Stone Age and Last Shadow Puppets.

If you’re keen to catch them, you better get your cash together quick – tickets go on pre-sale via Telstra and the band’s site on Tuesday October 30 at 10am Australian time, and run for just 48 hours. You can sign up early via the Arctic Monkeys website, and Frontier Touring are doing their own pre-sale for 24 hours from 2pm on Thursday November 1.

(General sales start at 2pm Wednesday November 7, but can you imagine a reality where these shows don’t immediately sell out? I didn’t think so.)

Fantastic news for fans who haven’t turned 18 yet too – all five Australasian shows are all ages (though you’ll have to be 16+ to access the GA standing room).

Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino was the band’s sixth consecutive #1 debut in the UK, and debuted at #1 on the ARIA Album Chart as well. This tour is not one you’re going to want to miss.
