Aside from providing Kelly Clarkson with creative inspiration and working on a cryptic Spike Jonze collaboration, things have been pretty quiet on the Arcade Fire front for most of 2010.
Perfect time then, to announce a brand new 12″ via a postcard addressed to the internet! The announcement was made via the band’s official website through a hand-scrawled postcard which read: Howdy yall – Just finishing up pressing our new 12″. Should be in stores in the next couple weeks. God willing. Good luck with finals. See you this summer! AF
Theories abound as to what it all means but as Joel’s Arcade Fire Blog points out Amazon have recently listed a new Arcade Fire single called Suburbs/Month of May for sale June 1, 2010. Hmm. New Jonze project? New single from the new album? Kelly Clarkson diss track? We’ll keep you posted as details arise.
