00’s bop queen Anastacia has given her 20-year-old smash hit “I’m Outta Love” a slight rework in the age of coronavirus.
“I’m Outta Dove” is an ode to those running low on supplies during quarantine. I must admit, I never envisioned this isolation-induced parody for us. But I’m also not mad at it. Take from this what you will.
Anastacia posted the track yesterday, disclosing that the remaster wasn’t a paid sponsorship (a real missed opportunity from Dove, here, but I digress).
Anyway, please enjoy the following inspired lyrics: “I’m Outta Dove, I can’t get clean, I’m at home in quarantine / Could be 3 days, god forbid a month / And my nose can’t handle me / I’m outta Dove, can’t get clean, I’m at home in quarantine / I’m outta Dove.”
I’m Outta Dove, I can’t get clean, I’m at home in Quarantine 🙌🏻

A few celebs have taken to Twitter and Instagram recently to fuse with their tunes with words of socially-conscious wisdom amid the pandemic. There have been some absolute hits – à la JoJo – and some, uh, misses – I’m not going to say her name but it loosely rhymes with Corona. “I’m Outta Dove”, however, is surely one of the highlights.
If Anastacia doesn’t come through with a full-length track and home-made music video, I’ll cry in isolation.
