ALERT: Kanye West’s First Track Off ‘Cruel Winter’ Expected To Drop Today

HOLY CRAPBALLS, BATMAN.

It seems that while we’re still riding high off The Life of Pablo, Kanye West has been gearing up to drop new music.

Appearing on Big Boy’s 92.3 last week, Yeezy premiered the first track off Cruel Winter – the  rumoured long-awaited follow up to the 2012 G.O.O.D Music label compilation Good Summer.

Titled ‘Champions‘, it features Big Sean, Gucci Mane, Travis Scott, 2 ChainzQuavo, Yo Gotti and Desiigner, and as Big Boy described it, “captures magic in a bottle.”

“I had the basic beat for a year and a half. It sounded right for this project,”
said Yeezy on Big Boy.“This is the hook we should have for the first single.”

BUT ANYWAY. Complex is reporting that the single is expected to hit iTunes and streaming services round the world at midnight – !!!!!! – although they don’t exactly specify if that’s East Coast or West Coast time. It is therefore likely… to be dropping… sometime today.

A version of the track is available on YouTube (interspersed with ‘Big Boy’ stamps to avoid any pirating shenanigans) so listen below while you hold on for the real thing.

Zero word yet on the rest of the album, but stay tuned.
