Against Me! Announce Local Supports & Hell Yeah There’s So Many Women

Extremely important Floridian punk band, Against Me! are back in town in April/May for the Groovin The Moo tour and we’ve been tickled with the knowledge that they’re using this festival run to also swing by a few cities to do a bit of a headline tour with our favourites, Camp Cope. (You know, those brilliant angels that have pretty much sold out the freakin’ Opera House twice over the last couple of days.)

So mates, you better believe this is going to be one tour that you should absolutely definitely not sleep on.
The unapologetic and inspiring Against Me! – fronted by 10/10 human Laura Jane Grace – have just announced the local bands in each city that will be joining each show and it makes my heart bloom to see so many women in these bands. Pretty much every local support has at least one non-male band member. Hell fuckin’ YES.
Joining the Tour Of The Year – yes, I’m calling it – are:
The Cutaways at The Triffid in Brisbane
Bansheeland at Brisbane Hotel in Hobart (no shoeys, please)
The Football Club at Max Watts in Melbourne
The Nuclear Family at UOW Unibar in Wollongong
Mere Women at Manning Bar in Sydney
Hope Street at Rosemount in Perth.
(Sorry Adelaide)
Go ahead and check out all this ripe local talent and get your hands on some tickets because believe me, this is going to be one hell of a tour, if the latest Against Me! Album, Shape Shift With Me is anything to go by. Hooley dooley.
