Based on what we now know about Adele’s personal life, the year of 30 must’ve been filled with highs and lows but as the singer hits her 31st birthday, she wants fans to know that it’s only up from here.

The singer recently split up with her husband Simon Konecki after five years together but while fans are already gunning for a killer breakup album, the mother-of-one has other plans.
She took to Instagram to share a gallery of photos and wrote the following inspirational spiel that we all oughta take on board.
“This is 31…thank fucking god,” she began. “30 tried me so hard but I’m owning it and trying my hardest to lean in to it all. No matter how long we’re here for life is constant and complicated at times. I’ve changed drastically in the last couple years and I’m still changing and that’s okay. 31 is going to be a big ol’ year and I’m going to spend it all on myself.”
She adds, “For the first time in a decade I’m ready to feel the world around me and look up for once. Be kind to yourself people we’re only human, go slow, put your phone down and laugh out loud at every opportunity. Learning to REALLY truly love yourself is it, and I’ve only just realised that that is more than enough. I’ll learn to love you lot eventually.”
She then addressed the aforementioned “savage” fans who are begging for a breakup album.
“Bunch of fucking savages, 30 will be a drum n bass record to spite you,” she said before concluding, “Chin up eh.”
Despite her penchant for a moody bop, the singer has been all smiles in the wake of the split.
