Actress Chloë Grace Moretz has been in a few stellar movies, dated a Beckham offspring, and, of course, got caught up in one of the biggest Kardashian-related Twitter biffs ever (and that’s really saying something).
Needless to say, she’s pretty fkn huge, so it’s very awesome/literally the dream that she used her social media platform to spruik one of Brisbane‘s finest young talents.
Mallrat has only recently finished high school, but has a banging and unique hip-hop sound that’s in the vein of Tkay Maidza, but her vibe kinda transcends any genre – you can hear influences of Grimes, Courtney Barnett and there’s a bit of a Skrillex in there too, just to mix things up.
Self-described as “the Hannah Montana of rap”, her tunes are very tasty indeed, and her effortless steeze makes it a total no-brainer that Moretz would acknowledge her killer track, ‘Uninvited’.

Mallrat briefly spoke to PEDESTRIAN.TV about how Moretz “seems like a massive legend really into new Australian music”, which totally makes sense when you see the other plugs on her Twitter account, which includes Sydney electro duo, Cosmo’s Midnight.
A big congrats for Mallrat getting the hype she deserves. You can check out her Soundcloud account for more delicious tracks here, and here’s a music vid for her song ‘Inside Voices’.
