Liam Gallagher is a global treasure whom we simply do not deserve.
The enigmatic Mancunian has a laundry list of accomplishments dotting his extremely padded resume, but we dare say none are gonna be any more unique than “managed to get potato peelers banned from a major music festival.”
As it turns out, UK festival Parklife has officially seen it fit to add potato peelers to its list of items that punters are banned from bringing in, and it’s absolutely all because of Liam Gallagher.
The whole yarn traces back to November, when Noel Gallagher appeared on Later… with Jools Holland to perform with his High Flying Birds, a group that curiously featured a person on stage “playing” the scissors.
As Gallagher’s are wont to do, Liam took the opportunity to hang shit on his brother via Twitter.

And thus we now have this decree from Parklife, getting ahead of any potential curve by banning punters from bringing in peelers to de-skin spuds en masse during Liam’s set at the Manchester festival.
Parklife founder Sacha Lord-Marchionne confirmed as much in a short statement.
We’ve been so blown away by this week’s launch and the demand for tickets, but even more blown away at how many people have asked to bring in potato peelers for Liam’s main stage performance!
In case you’re wondering – the answer is most definitely no!
So there you bloody go. Because of a bit of cheeky shit-talking on his own brother, Liam Gallagher has caused potato peelers to be banned from a major UK music festival.
We do not deserve Liam Gallagher. We do not deserve him at all.
