A-Listers ask: How could you be so heartless Kanye?

It seems that us regular Twitter folk weren’t the only ones disillusioned with Kanye West’s dummy spit at the VMA’s last night.

(If you’re behind in the news- check out yesterday’s post here).

West’s hijack of the stage (and poor Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech) sparked a huge response from fellow celebrities and musicians that felt it was time somebody put West back in his corner.

As West was being escorted from the awards, the internet was already in over-drive with everybody offering their two cents worth on the outburst.
In fact, fellow attendee’s of the ceremony including Pink and Katy Perry, were Tweeting about the scandal as it took place right in front of them.

JoelMadden: ‘You were just a bully on that one man.’
PerezHilton: ‘”WTF Kanye????”
KELLY_ROWLAND: “NO ONE!!! It’s room for everyone……..KANYE…WHY BOO??? I LOVE Kanye and I LOVE TAYLOR, and OF COARSE I LOVE B!! But NO ONE should have a moment taken away from them…’
heidimontag: ‘@taylorswift13 don’t let that evil steel your thunder!!!!! This is your big night!!”

Pink, who also lost out to Swift in the †Best Female Video’ category- was perhaps the quickest to hop on the hate wagon, saying ‘Kanye west is the biggest piece of shit on earth. Quote me’ before later adding ‘My heart goes out to taylor swift. She is a sweet and talented girl and deserved her moment. She should know we all love her.’

She wasn’t the only one who felt Swift deserved her shining moment. In a classy display of selflessness, Beyonce brought the teen back up on stage to finish her speech after she was awarded †Video of the Year’.
Swift returned to the stage amidst huge applause from the crowd, before quietly taking the mike and suggesting, ‘Maybe we can try this again?’

Although reportedly hysterically crying backstage immediately after the hijacking, when asked by MTV News, Swift said: “It has been a crazy night, hasn’t it? Well, you know, I was up there and I was standing there and I saw Kanye up on the stage’ before adding “I was really excited… and I kind of wasn’t excited anymore.”
However Swift it seems has more class than others, and stopped before saying anything negative towards the hip-hop star.

Yesterday, West blogged his first apology to Swift as the awards were still taking place, saying: “I’M SOOOOO SORRY TO TAYLOR SWIFT AND HER FANS AND HER MOM. I SPOKE TO HER MOTHER RIGHT AFTER AND SHE SAID THE SAME THING MY MOTHER WOULD’VE SAID. SHE IS VERY TALENTED!”
But the all-caps rambling disappeared and a new post showed up Monday: “I feel like Ben Stiller in ‘Meet the Parents’ when he messed up everything and Robert De Niro asked him to leave. . . . That was Taylor’s moment and I had no right in any way to take it from her. I am truly sorry.”

Others took to their blogs for different reasons. Singer, Kelly Clarkson posted a rather scathing open letter to Kanye late last night, saying:
‘I’ve seen you do some pretty shitty things, but you just keep amazing me with your tactless, asshole ways. It’s absolutely fascinating how much I don’t like you. I like everyone. I even like my asshole ex that cheated on me over you… which is pretty odd since I don’t even personally know you. The best part of this evening is that you weren’t even up for THIS award and yet you still have a problem with the outcome. Is winning a moon man that much of a life goal?? You can have mine if it will shut you up. Is it that important, really??’

West however apparently had least one person watching his back with Russell Brand saying this morning that West is a ‘nice bloke’.
‘We’re just people, we all do things that are a bit silly sometimes. Calm down; no one died.’

You’re right Russ, no one died…except maybe West’s future record sales.
