50 Cent Now Has To Pay $7 Million In Damages In His Sex Tape Lawsuit

Despite his pleas that he’s short of cash, and his confession that his lavish lifestyle is all a sham, run on rented cars and borrowed bling, a judge has ordered 50 Cent to pay damages totalling $US 7 million to the woman whose sex tape he leaked online.
Fiddy, real name Curtis Jackson III, was previously ordered to pay Lestonia Leviston $US 5 million for posting her sex tape, which he narrated as a character called Pimpin’ Curly, as an act of revenge against rival Rick Ross
Two weeks ago, Jackson filed for bankruptcy, but this was called out as a stalling tactic ahead of a hearing to determine punitive damages; today, a jury awarded a further $US 2 million against him, bringing the total to $US 7 million
Per reports in the NY Daily News, none of the jurors on the case believed his cries of poverty. “He’s 50 Cent, you know he has more than 50 cents,” said one. “I don’t think he’s broke. If anything, he has it hidden.”
Jurors also said that Jackson did not seem particularly contrite – one mentioned that he had “winked” at her, and he was not apologetic for the hurt that he caused Leviston, saying only “I’m sorry if you feel like I hurt you.”
While the award is significant, it’s still less than the $US 15 million that Leviston’s lawyers had asked for, for violating her civil rights and causing emotional distress.
“I hope he learned a lesson,” she told reporters outside the court.
