21 More Albums Selected For Coopers Australian Music Prize

Tim Rogers, the siblings Stone (fight! fight! fight!), Collarbones and The Presets are among the second wave of acclaimed local artists granted official selection to the increasingly self-aware/newly revamped Coopers Australian Music Prize. As previously reported, the facelift includes a few tweaks to the award’s ‘Long List’ process, with entry fees abolished and judges invited to be more proactive throughout the process and nominate specific albums for the long list, which now numbers 47. Once the list of Official Entrants is finalised, judges will meet to determine which titles will make the final Shortlist, to be announced early 2013. The winner will be announced in March and receive a $30,000 cash prize, courtesy of Principal Partner PPCA.
