It’s that time once again, where the big stars of the music industry come together in an arena (the Staples Centre in LA) to battle it out for the most coveted awards in the biz. The 61st Grammy Awards are in full swing over in the US, after kicking off bright and early at around 7.30am our time, and so we’re keeping track of all the Grammy Awards winners and losers as they’re announced.

After Bruno Mars bloody cleaned up last year’s awards, winning all six (6) of his nominated categories, all eyes are on Kendrick Lamar this year, who is up for a huge eight awards.
The smaller, Premiere Ceremony was hosted by Shaggy speaking in his normal, non-Mr. Boombastic voice – which is a really weird trip lemme tell you – and there were plenty of big pickups across some of the earlier awards before everyone piles in for the big show from midday Sydney time.
From Childish Gambino picking up the gong for Best Music Video for ‘This Is America‘ and Lady Gaga, Bradley Cooper and co. picking up the award for Best Song Written For Visual Media for ‘Shallow‘ off A Star Is Born, and Ariana Grande nabbing the big golden gramophone for Best Pop Vocal Album, there was plenty to admire across the entire ceremony.
As far as Aussies go in the awards, Wollongong-born director Alan Hicks picked up a gong for his work on the Quincy Jones biopic, Quincy, and your 2018 Hottest 100 #2 Fisher narrowly lost out to Silk City (Diplo & Mark Ronson‘s collab project) for Best Dance Recording.
Without further ado, here are the Grammy Awards winners and gracious losers who have to clap politely in the off chance they’ll get picked up by the cameras – we’ll be updating this as awards are handed out.
