2014 Vivid LIVE Program Has Been Announced

Sydney’s annual celebration of lights, music, arts, culture and ideas Vivid LIVE has announced its 2014 program, taking place from May 23 – June 1 in and around the Sydney Opera House.

Joining the previously announced Lighting the Sails’ 59 Productions, Pixies, the legendary Giorgio Moroder with his Australian DJ debut, the Australian Chamber Orchestra and The Presets, will be the iconic Ms. Lauryn Hill, as part of her long awaited Australian headlining debut, the eclectic sounds of St. Vincent, Anna Calvi, Ireland’s James Vincent McMorrow, Nils Frahm and Penny Penny.

In terms of local talent they’ve lined up Kate Miller-Heidke, Jonti paying tribute to The Avalanches record Since I Left You, and Studio Parties curated by Astral People, Siberia Records, R.I.P Society and Future Classic.

Fergus Linehan, Festival Director of Vivid LIVE, Sydney Opera House said: “The 2014 Vivid LIVE program traverses different genres and generations but always directs its attention towards those artists, whose curiosity has driven them to push boundaries and reinvent what rock, pop and electronic music can be.”
