I’ve pretty much surrendered to the fact that I will never be the owner of even a single, tiny fragment of the dough that Kim Kardashian owns. She’s an international star with endorsements up the yin yang and I’m just a lowly writer from Sydney.
But when you consider the fact that one of the most powerful people on earth is on a much lesser wicket than Kimmy, it makes me feel a helluva lot better!
A recent report from a medical journalism website called STAT made the shocking discovery that the 37-year-old earns more than the president makes in a single year off of just ONE Instagram post.
The company reached this jaw-dropping conclusion when they got their mitts on a contract between medical company Duchesnay USA and Kim’s company, Kimsaprincess, which stated she would be paid half a million dollars for an Insta upload.
The post in question was for a morning sickness pill back in 2015 by Duchesnay USA, the company that makes the pill Diclegis, which is supposed to help ease nausea and vomiting associated with pregnancy.
Kim earned a whopping $500,000 from just one post for the brand. To put that into perspective, the president’s salary is $400,000.

This caused a stir at the time, not ‘coz it’s a ridonculous amount of money, but ‘coz the long ass post failed to mention the risks of taking the medication which prompted the Food and Drug Administration to send a letter to Duchesnay USA demanding they no longer use Kim’s social media endorsements.
Duchesnay USA still work with the reality star, however, and sales of Diclegis went up in the fall of 2015.
