The Best Places In All Of LA To Spot An A-Lister In Their Natural Habitat

PEDESTRIAN.TV has teamed up with Virgin Australia to celebrate one of their newest routes: Melbourne to Los Angeles. As of April 4th, you’ll be able to throw on those oversized Miu Miu shades, pack your LV cabin trunk and hotfoot it straight to the City of Angels, all glam, no stopover. You can book a flight here.

I can confidently say, no one goes to Los Angeles without hoping to spy someone famous.
absolutely iconic
The city is the epicentre of modern celebrity. Every pocket of the place presents new opportunities to see modern deities in the flesh.
Hike around Runyon Canyon Park and you might spot a sweaty Justin Bieber. Window shop along Rodeo Drive and kould bump into Kourtney Kardashian. Find Kelly Rowland slipping her fingers into Marilyn‘s hand-prints at Mann’s Chinese Theatre Show. (Not really that last part but you get the picture.)
Here’s our pick of the best LA institutions to drink, eat and be merry spot famous people at.
1. The Nice Guy

401 N La Cienega Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90048, USA
The Nice Guy is an intimate, dimly-lit gem in West Hollywood. According to their website, their “aesthetic is meant to evoke the decadent era of Mafia bars and restaurants.” One look at the pictures of their glorious food and you might find another excuse to pop in.
SPOTTED: Emma Roberts, Cara Delevingne, Chrissy Teigen, Kylie Jenner, Harry Styles, Katy Perry & Miley Cyrus.
2. Catch LA

8715 Melrose Ave, West Hollywood, CA 90069, USA
Catch‘s popularity is akin to the Cash Me Ousside meme: fierce and unrelenting. The glittering rooftop in West Hollywood is the haunt of choice for many young, rich and famous people. It’s barely been open six months and it’s already played host to Kendall Jenner’s 21st birthday.
SPOTTED: Cindy Crawford, Chris Brown, David Beckham, Millie Bobby Brown, Paris Hilton, Hillary Duff and Alessandro Ambrosia.
3. E.P. & L.P.

603 N La Cienega Blvd, West Hollywood, CA 90069, USA
If, for some reason, you were to arrive in LA and immediately feel homesick, E.P & L.P. would be the place for you. It’s owned by two ‘Strayans, David Combes and DJ Grant Smilie, with a menu designed by Longrain‘s former head chef Louis Tikaram. The fit out’s by the same folk behind Melbourne faves Chin Chin & Yo-Chi, and it’s fiiiiiire. C’mon Aussie, c’mon.
SPOTTED: Matt Damon, Charlie Hunnam, Al Pacino, Hailey Baldwin & Ruby Rose.
4. Delilah

7969 California Route 2, West Hollywood, CA 90046, USA
Hey there Delilah, what’s it like in Los Angeles? It’s pretty spectacular if you’re throwing back a martini here, actually.
Conceived by the same group behind The Nice Guy, Delilah is an art deco palace. Think La La Land. It’s a throwback to all that 1920s Hollywood stood for, and the stars of today lap it up.

SPOTTED: Drake, Bella Hadid, Katy Perry, Taylor Lautner, Karlie Kloss, as well as Aussies Nathalie Darcas and Jason Dundas, for good measure.

5. Doheny Room

9077 California Route 2, West Hollywood, CA 90069, USA
Doheny Room smells of rich mahogany, or at least that’s what one would imagine after taking a gander at their Instagram. Their tagline is #BecauseTheVibesGood and judging by the popularity of the place by big name celebs, we’re guessing that ain’t far from the truth.
SPOTTED: Kourtney Kardashian, Sofia Richie, Alicia Vikander & Gigi Hadid.

6. Pump

8948 Santa Monica Blvd, West Hollywood, CA 90069, USA
Pump is owned by Lisa Vanderpump. Say pump again. Pump.
It’s a “sexy garden restaurant” and since it’s owned by a celeb, you better believe they’re largely present here. So are huge, ornate chandeliers.
SPOTTED: Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lawrence & Fergie.
7. Soho House West Hollywood

9200 Sunset Blvd, West Hollywood, CA 90069, USA
This place is exclusive in the extreme. It’s membership only, and when Kim Kardashian applied in 2015, she was reportedly denied. An offshoot of the wildly successful Soho House that opened as a place for creatives to meet in London in 1995, members pay a whopping $2000 a year to access the place. Private members enjoy 360 degree views of Los Angeles from the rooftop restaurant. If you’re a Sex & The City fan, you’ll remember Samantha getting herself and the girls kicked out after sneaking in under another member’s name. It gets better: the establishment enforces a strict ‘no phone’ rule, so celebs can be merry in peace.
SPOTTED: Cameron Diaz, Bradley Cooper, Robert Pattinson, Demi Moore, Selena Gomez, Kristin Cavallari, Taylor Swift & Emma Stone.
8. Ace Hotel

929 S Broadway, Los Angeles, CA 90015, USA
This downtown gem is very beautiful, and boasts probably the most genuinely aesthetic Instagram of the whole lot. A rooftop jacuzzi is basically unbeatable.
SPOTTED: Van Morrison, Seth Rogan, Harry Styles, Jennifer Lawrence, Sky Ferreira & Matt Damon.
That’s all for now. Knowing LA, there’s a fair chance this list will be redundant in six months when a bunch of newer, younger starlets burst onto the scene.
PS. If you’re booking a trip to the City of Angels, you’re gonna want to hit up our m8s at Discover Los Angeles for all the best tips on what to see and experience. You can do that right HERE.
