Sunglass Hut Has Collabbed With Alexa Chung On Some Perfectly 70s Shades

Alexa Chung is one of those celebrities that seems to have maintained a consistent style that never seems to become passe. Did she even have a bad fashion moment in the 00s, that decade which saw most celebs wear skirts over their jeans and white pointy flats?

She’s also proven she’s not just a babe with good threads – her own fashion brand, ALEXACHUNG, has been wildly successful for the model and influencer. And her latest collab with Sunglass Hut on a capsule collection of five sets of shades proves she can also nail accessories. The collection debuted at London Fashion Week over the weekend.

The two styles and five colourways are all equally chic. There’s the oversized oval sunnies, which come in white, black and tortoiseshell, that feature a thick, vintage-esque frame.

Then, there’s my favourite – the square, fine-rimmed design that wouldn’t look out of place on the 70s set of Charlie’s Angels.

Alexa said of the design inspiration:

“I’ve always gravitated towards vintage frames when it comes to putting together an outfit, and this is the same approach I took when it came to researching for design. I revisited iconic moments in film and music to make a variety of styles that feel both timeless and timely. Scott Walker, Fellini, Elvis and Anna Karina to name but a few shady icons of mine, all helped shape the direction of this eyewear capsule.”

Keen? The shades will be available as of this week via Sunglass Hut‘s website and ALEXACHUNG.com.
