Hedi Slimane’s New CELINE Stores Will Make Interior Nerds Cry Happy Tears

High fashion house CELINE have unveiled the new architectural design of their global stores, and it’ll make anyone who adores interiors cry a few tears of joy.

The concept store designs were helmed by CELINE Creative Director Hedi Slimane, and feature reclaimed oak, concrete and stainless steel, as well as brass and gold mirror to create a “refined 21st century brutalist context”, according to their press release.

The first store featuring the new interiors was their NYC Madison Avenue space, which opened on the 18th February. The 500 square metre flagship is now the world’s largest CELINE store.

The first standalone CELINE mens store will open on the 25th February in Hong Kong, and will also feature the new interior concept. According to the fashion house, the design is all about balance and sculpture.

“The new store concept juxtaposes the finest natural materials, crafting a balanced and expansive sculptural interior. Site-specific artworks are another key component featuring contemporary artists such as James Balmforth, Jose Davila, Elaine Cameron Weir and Oscar Tuazon.

So if you’re headed to NYC any time soon, swing by and enjoy the eye-wateringly beautiful space, will you?
