If you’re a budding (or not so budding and actually pretty established tyvm) artist who’s just trying to a) get their work out there into the world and b) needs cash, listen the hell up.
Cake Wines – yep, the Aussie wine company that have the chic bottle art – are looking for their next ~artiste~ to wrap around their latest bottle of plonk. The cool bit? It could be you, if you enter their global comp.
Like a well designed house, it all starts with a good foundation. From the north, mid and south part of the Adelaide Hills, we look for the best fruit each year, drag it back to winery, and start the hustle towards our next vintage. Next year we will be releasing a bunch of new wines, some alternate stuff, some stuff we've been messing around with, and ofcourse some of our favourites that you see here. The future is bright, cheers to that! 😉
They’ve called the prize the Archi-Bottle Prize, and the winner will not only see their work featured as the bottle art of the new Cake Wines’ 2017 Adelaide Hills Barbera, they’ll also score $2,000, plus 5 cases of the wine that has your art all over it.
30 finalists will also have their work shown at the Cake Wines Archi-bottle Prize finalist’s exhibition, at which the winner will also be revealed.
The prize is actually quite prestigious – previous entrants and winners have included major contemporary names like Jodee Knowles, Del Kathryn Barton, Sean Edward Whelan and Daniel ‘Ears’ O’Toole.
Keen? Entries close on the 23rd March, so hit up this link to enter.Image: Instagram / @cakewines
