French luxury fashion brand Givenchy has this weekend teased their campaign with Ariana Grande, dubbed #Arivenchy, ahead of the first reveal of their fall-winter season tomorrow.

The moody black and white shots have Grande and her infamously long ponytail – so long it could be used to strangle her enemies – posing in tailored suits and gripping structured handbags.

She’s got coats, she’s got platform shoes, she’s got her neck arched like she’s trying to see over a tall man at a concert.

Oooh, a silhouette, what does that mean? (That she has an awesome fake eyelashes person).

Look at that cat-eye! Look at the neckline on this top and/or dress. It’s practically Elizabethan! This seems like a joke but it’s not, just check out how ‘shiny Elizabethan’ the brand’s Noblesse Radicale runway in Paris was last week. Everybody’s out for a feast.

Back in May, Vogue wrote about Ariana Grande becoming the new face of Givenchy, under artistic director Clare Waight Keller. At the time, she gushed in a release about how much she admires the brand, and how chuffed she is to work with them.

I am so proud to be the new face of Givenchy. It is a house I have forever admired, and to now be part of that family is such an honour. I love this clothing and the confidence and joy it brings to the people wearing it. Not only is the clothing timeless and beautiful, but I’m proud to work with a brand that makes people feel celebrated for who they are, and unapologetic about whatever they want to be.

Less an Elizabethan mood here than an Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s vibe here – fun fact, Hepburn and Hubert de Givenchy himself were good mates. She was always wearing his clothes. How glamorous!

I look forward to frothing on these clothes tomorrow, all while knowing, in my heart of hearts, that I will never ever be able to afford them.
