Peep Inside The NYC Apartment Building That’s Stacked With Celeb Residents

443 Greenwich Celebrity

If you’re anything like me, when you go to LA or New York you low-key hope to see a celeb in the wild. Mainly so you can casually drop something like: “Oh yes, I saw Dan from Gossip Girl twice in two days,” into conversation upon your return. (Yes, that happened. And yes, I have wheeled that anecdote out far too many times since.) Well, chances are if you’re hanging in Tribeca next time you’re in NYC, you just might see a majorly famous person, because they all seem to live in the same building.

443 Greenwich is an ultra-luxe apartment complex located on 443 Greenwich Street, funnily enough. It may look like a fairly standard if not pretty cool building from the outside, but on the inside it is positively TEEMING with A-listers.

Seriously, cop a look at this list of residents who have all reportedly splashed out on apartments within the 53-unit complex, which used to be a book bindery.

Harry Styles, Jennifer Lawrence, everyone’s fave couple Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively, Meg Ryan, and Aussie angel Rebel Wilson.

Imagine having that lot for neighbours. I would constantly need to borrow a cup of sugar just so I could knock on their doors (and be hauled off by the building’s security team, most probably).

According to property broker Richard Cantor, the whole appeal for the stars is privacy, which he says was a huge priority for developer Nathan Berman when he included features like a double-gated carpark and private elevators.

Cantor told Mansion Global:

The idea of privacy was very important to him. Buyers who were paying this kind of money and buying this kind of luxury would want to have a kind of anonymity that’s hard to come by, as well as privacy for security and safety purposes. So he created a number of sort of privacy zones. A celebrity might be uncomfortable sharing an elevator so we have what’s called “VIP service”.

Distinctly less private are the complex’s lap pool, shared roof deck, fitness centre, steam room, wine cellar, kid’s playroom or the 371-square metre central courtyard.

Imagine bumping into Harry Styles in the wine cellar. SWOON.

Anyway, since apartments in the building start at USD$2.95m and a penthouse will set you back USD$20m, the chances are we’ll never see inside. So here’s a bunch of pics so you can pretend you were there:

Look at this freaking ROOFTOP POOL.

If you’re extra nosy or have suddenly come into millions of dollars, there are even more pics on the apartment complex’s official site HERE.

Peep ’em and weep.
