Cushla Whiting is a contemporary Melbourne based jewellery designer who specialises in creating unique, bespoke fine jewellery, using ethically sourced fine gemstones. 

We are hiring a Studio Assistant to join us full time in our Melbourne showroom. This is a unique opportunity to work with a local, dynamic design brand located in Little Bourke Street. This position will suit a highly organised individual with a strong passion for what they do and will be able to translate this into supporting the values of our brand.

Job Details

  • Full time, Monday – Friday

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the day to day management of the showroom calendar.
  • Welcoming customers into our jewellery showroom, providing tea/water, taking coats.
  • Setting up, and packing down the showroom up every day following our setup/ closing checklist.
  • Responsible for the overall appearance and presentation of the showroom.
  • Able to manage customer “walk-ins”, including ring pickups, re-sizing, ring cleaning, ring maintenance requests and other customer requests.
  • Preparing and packaging jewellery for collection and for freight, including quality final control check of jewellery. 
  • Receiving deliveries, managing domestic and international DHL shipments and organising courier pickups. 
  • Answering the phone, directing calls, and managing customer requests. 
  • Effective communication of customer needs/desires to the relevant CW team member. 
  • Assisting consultants during appointments. 
  • Managing office supplies/stationary.
  • Managing initial customer emails, and forwarding them to the appropriate CW team member.
  • Setting up insurance policies for customers. 
  • Processing over the phone and in-person payments.
