We are currently seeking applications for a Sales Coordinator. This is a career opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to join our growing team, located in our Sydney studio (in Rosebery/Alexandria). 

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience working within a premium fashion brand, with a proven track record in wholesale sales or within a buying role. Working closely with internal departments, the Sales Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating of all areas of the wholesale sales function within the business, as well as working with internal departments for the forecasting and placement of internal buys for Matteau’s direct-to-consumer and retail channels.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate all areas of the wholesale sales function within the business
  • Foster key account relationships and overseeing day-to-day wholesale operations
  • Daily wholesale account administration, point of contact for wholesale partners
  • Maintain brand positioning ensuring appropriate representation through wholesale partners
  • Work with management to set sales forecasts and develop growth strategies for the wholesale business, seek new opportunities for growth and representation
  • Responsible for fielding sales enquiries, assess new opportunities and respond to requests from new wholesale partners
  • Maintain CRM system for all wholesale accounts
  • Set up of new wholesale accounts including negotiating terms
  • Submit all wholesale sales orders in JOOR working closely with the Production department throughout the production process to produce orders and ensure timely delivery / communicate relevant delays impacting orders to wholesale partners
  • Raise wholesale order invoices, submit credit approvals with Hilldun, work closely with Accounts department and Hilldun on payment reconciliation and outstanding invoices
  • Work closely with Warehouse and Inventory department on wholesale order fulfillment and client shipping requirements, including management and submission of all paperwork requirements
  • Monitor sell-through with wholesale partners, working closely with internal departments to communicate sales performance and key insights, as well as escalate areas of concern
  • Provide feedback to Design and Production departments to develop and grow the brand and inform new season planning based on insights into best performing styles
  • Work with internal departments on the development of internal critical paths for sales windows, product costings, delivery of collections and sales tools required
  • Work closely with internal departments including Design, Production, Inventory to help inform range planning based on best sellers, arranging in-season stock re-cuts where required, ATS replenishment orders, feedback from wholesale partners
  • Work with internal departments to develop and provide product training information and tools to wholesale partners each season, including management of all sales assets and available imagery to support wholesale partners
  • Assist with showroom presentations including preparing and merchandising collections
  • Forecasting and placement of internal buys for Matteau’s direct-to-consumer and retail channels
  • Track internal sell-through for forecasting/internal buy purposes, liaising closely with Inventory and Production departments on stock levels and arranging for in-season recuts where demand warrants
  • Maintenance of Sales department work-in-progress notes for internal communication
  • Longer hours may be required at certain periods or in the lead up to sales periods or key industry events

  • Strategic and forward thinking and able to anticipate issues and threats
  • Strength in reporting and budgeting
  • Good knowledge of JOOR, inventory management software, Excel, Word, Google Drive
