Camplify is a peer to peer marketplace to enable all types of RV owners to hirer out their assets when not in use. Think Airbnb but for caravans. We are a well funded exciting digital disruptor in the camping sector. Over the past 4 years, we have successfully scaled the business to Australia, New Zealand, Spain, and the United Kingdom.

The role is to replace our Head of PR and Communications while she is on maternity leave. You will be trained and work directly with her during this period for a minimum of 1 month leading up to her leave. The role is a minimum contract of 8 months, with potential to lead to a fulltime role.

About the role;

 

  • Work closely with the marketing team to identify and tell customer stories via regular press placements 

  • Manage a global press office, identifying key trends, interesting stories and topical events to drive ongoing press coverage

  • Build relationships and a database of strong media contacts across national, metro and regional consumer, news, business, and tourism press

  • Regular copywriting, including press releases, customer success quotes, assisting with web & email copy, all while ensuring consistent brand messaging across the business

  • Manage and collaborate on media sell-ins with local PR agencies in Australia, Spain, and the UK

  • Work with international teams in local regions to identify local customer and trend stories to amplify via press

  • Assist in the development and management of a global influencer programme and content strategy in collaboration with the marketing team

  • Have a detailed understanding of our customers and industry to lead the content direction for our business

  • Regular media monitoring, flagging industry stories and trends that may have an impact on our business to the leadership team

  • Develop the crisis communications approach, and media issues management

  • Securing regular speaker opportunities and interview placements for the leadership team and successful customers

  • Manage media inquiries and interview requests. Assist on speaker opportunities and speeches for the leadership team 

  • Understand outdoor trade show activities and explore opportunities to amplify via press

  • Evaluate and assist with partnerships and paid media placements

The successful Candidate will have; 

 

  • At least 2 years’ PR experience, a minimum of 12 months in PR agency is preferable

  • Tourism / travel communications experience, and / or a detailed understanding of the caravan and camping industry is preferable

  • Willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate regular communication with global team members and PR agencies in other timezones

  • A strong understanding of what makes a good news story

  • Passionate about securing press results and valuable media contacts

  • A true team player eager to innovate and respond to reactive opportunities
