We’re looking to add a marketing all-rounder to the Oktoberfest Brisbane family on a contract basis. This role will report to the Group Marketing Manager and Festival Director & Creative and support the day to day tasks across social, digital and overall marketing as the Festival approaches and the business needs grow.

This role is a contract role beginning in June and ending in February 2018 with potential for future work. Ideally the candidate would be available to work from the Oktoberfest Brisbane offices 3 days a week, but we can be flexibile on this based on your availability. 

The day-to-day role would include:

  • Manage the company’s social media profiles, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and Twitter
  • Design, build and maintain social media campaigns and propose social media growth and engagement goals
  • Updating content across the business’ websites
  • Managing and reporting on performance of advertising, re-marketing and EDM campaigns
  • Identify trends and insights, and optimise spend and performance based on insights
  • Manage customer reviews and complaints across social media
  • Coordination of digital advertising campaigns, including briefing designers on requirements, proofreading, and supply of artwork to media agencies and outlets
  • Ensuring the timely execution of online marketing campaigns including coordination of internal and external stakeholder requirements
  • Working with media partners to achieve agreed goals
  • Working with internal ticketing team and ticketing agents to ensure positive ticket buying experience
  • Provision of detailed retrospective online marketing information for partnership reports

Required Skills

  • 2 years experience in digital marketing and social media campaign creation OR Qualifications – tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications or similar. We recognise that your studies may be ongoing.
  • Excellent written/verbal communications skills
  • Motivated and determined individual with a strong ability to work independently
  • Time management skills & ability to work in a team
  • Ability to write promotional copy for email, social and ads
  • Possess an in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and how each platform can be optimally deployed. Demonstrate creativity and immersion in social media.
  • Possess adequate knowledge of Mailchimp, EDM Marketing, website development and management.

Desired but not required Skills

  • Have previously managed social media campaigns (paid and unpaid) across Facebook.
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite: i.e – Illustrator / Photoshop / InDesign
  • Experience in Word Press, basic website alterations and management
  • SEO/SEM, Google Ad Words, Facebook and Instagram Ad savvy

Please include any necessary details on when you might not be available during this time.  As mentioned, we’d like the candidate to work in the Oktoberfest Brisbane offices 3 days a week, but can discuss flexibility around this.

Renumeration will be discussed based on experience.
