The Paper Mill can host events such as weddings, christenings, hen’s parties, corporate events and private dining. A kid friendly venue offering kids menus & play areas.

The Paper Mill are looking for a savvy and enthusiastic Sales & Events Executive to manage and coordinate all in bound social and corporate event inquiries as well as coordinate event requirements. 

As a Sales & Events Executive for The Paper Mill, you will be required to:

  • Meet and greet customers who are specifically interested in booking in a special event. Presenting customers with special event packages and assist them in securing the most suitable option.
  • Identify the objectives of the event and determine the requirements that must be met to accomplish those objectives (for example, facilities and food & beverage services)
  • Liaise with the Marketing team to promote special events that involve sponsorship of the venue
  • Generate and approve all Banquet Event Orders, Floor Plans, Guest Lists & Run sheets
  • Meet with the operations teams on a weekly basis to discuss event details including Banquet Event Orders, Run Sheets and Floor Plans
  • Co-ordinate services including catering, signage, displays, audio visual equipment, printing, security and deal with any problems that arise
  • Co-ordinate all suppliers & vendors including bump in and bump out logistics
  • Develop crowd management and risk management systems when appropriate
  • Ensure all vendor and supplier certificates and licenses are valid, received and filed
  • Issue and follow up all event invoices ensuring payment is received prior to the event
  • Generate and issue purchase orders when necessary
  • Developing or helping to develop a plan, program or agenda for any event the venue may organise
  • Ensure the event complies with all required legislation and regulations, including those related to health and safety
  • Generate a list of preferred suppliers including Florists, Prop & Décor Hire, Entertainment etc
  • Communicate with event coverage suppliers such as Photographers & videographers to obtain assets suitable for marketing and social media activations
  • Using venue social media platforms such as Instagram to share coverage of special events
  • On a daily basis check for special event enquiries through social media inboxes, website and emails and reply within a 24 hour turn around
  • Follow up all event clients with an email requesting feedback/ testimonials
