Capturing visually appealing photos for the Midsummer Star website. Managing shoots and managing the processes of images, editing and check for catalog image quality and consistency.

What key responsibilities does this job have @ Midsummer_star?

  • Understand specifications and working closely with the creative team to develop content

  • Capturing and processing images at a desired quality/quantity

  • Consistently improving image quality using various editing methods

  • Ensuring consistent lighting, filters and poses

  • Use and maintain modern and traditional technical equipment (cameras, lenses etc)

  • Archive photographic images and maintain database

  • Maintain an in depth understanding of photographic best practices and procedures

  • Responsible for image delivery, from initial proposal through to post-production (inclusive of editing)

Qualities we look for…

  • Shooting experience

  • Proficient with traditional and modern equipment

  • Solid knowledge of Photoshop, photography specific software

  • Shooting and lighting skills

  • Competency in applying photographic best practices and techniques

  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks  

  • Adaptable, flexible and able to work autonomously and unsupervised

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to think outside the box

  • Start-up mentality – prepared to be hands-on

  • Willing to jump in to assist in company-wide goals
