Your purpose

As an On-Air Coordinator for the Factual Channels team, you will support the Head of On Air and Senior On Air Coordinator, working across channel brands like A&E, History, Crime & Investigation.

You will play a key role in the day to day operations on the Factuals team, including optimizing channel airtime; conducting promo and presentation event data entry; ensuring program information required for on-air is correct and complete, and working with relevant departments to ensure that the channels are on-air at all times with no faults.

On a daily basis, you’ll be involved in:

  • Scheduling pres events (classifications, channel navigation etc)
  • Checking that information is correct for all programmes
  • Ensuring correct classifications are placed before all programmes and that correctly classified promos are placed within the appropriate programmes following our classification guidelines
  • Viewing cross promos and maintain awareness of cross promo requirements for Foxtel and the Platform
  • Ensuring commercials are placed correctly within schedule
  • Ensuring programmes start and end on time

Your capability

  • HSC  or equivalent level essential. Tertiary qualification in media related subject preferred
  • c. 12 months experience in an entry level role in broadcast, e.g. Video Tapes or Library
  • An understanding of the basic principles and channel guidelines for scheduling and programming
  • Strong data input skills – preferred experience in IBMS
  • Understanding of classification guidelines
  • Methodical approach to problem solving
  • Must have excellent attention to detail – able to spot errors and inconsistencies in logs and reports
  • Able to use initiative to solve timing problems through selection of promos and other material
  • Judgement – able to select the most suitable promos and other material for the channel at the time in question
  • Strong data input skills – able to process and maintain the integrity of a high volume of data on a daily basis

What’s in it for you?

We have a benefits program with something for everyone.  But we’re in the entertainment business and we connect Australians to all the stories they love, so what would a Foxtel benefits program be without a free Foxtel subscription and discounted broadband!

Above all, we love entertainment and, if you do too, you’ll love working with us.  So if you’re excited about this opportunity, please click ‘Apply now’.
