We recently launched a global captioning platform that will enable people from anywhere in the world to contribute to making the world a more accessible place. We’re seeking a talented individual that’s looking to start their career in a dynamic company. 

Ai-Media creates access to content for millions of people delivering live captioning and closed captions all over the world. In Australia, we work with leaders in broadcast including Channel Nine, Channel Seven, Foxtel and BBC.  

Recently we partnered with Facebook to support the display of closed captions on Facebook Live broadcasts – a milestone in making video on Facebook accessible to all members of the community.

We’re a dynamic company with significant growth plans over the next 12 months. We’re looking for a driven individual to join a team that ensures the timely coordination and delivery of offline caption files to all Ai-Media clients. You will learn how to create closed captions used for broadcast television programs as well as create captions for video content used by the deaf community.

If you have experience of working in a fast-paced, high pressure and deadline driven environment then we’d love to hear from you. This is a full time role based at our headquarters in North Sydney.

In this role you will have the opportunity to:

  • Coordinate the delivery of caption files by their client deadlines (clients include Channel Nine, Channel 7, Foxtel, NBC Universal, Discovery and BBC)
  • Troubleshoot issues in order to ensure caption files are delivered on time and to the Ai-Media quality standards
  • Liaise with broadcast TV clients to understand captioning requirements and respond to urgent requests
  • Create caption files for TV programs
  • Contribute to improving systems and workflows within Ai-Media.

In order to succeed in this role, you should have the following:

  • Ability to problem solve independently, multi-task and prioritise
  • Interest in the broadcast/media industry
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a high pressured environment
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal
  • Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
