FOH Manager/ Functions Manager/ Marketing Manager

The Corner House -Sydney NSW

This is a newly developed role which will initially start on a casual basis hopefully leading to a full-time role.

This role will focus on driving the social media and marketing aspects of the business with a strong focus on increasing and running the restaurants functions. For the busy nights of the week the candidate will also need to be the FOH manager, greeting and seating customers and making sure the restaurant is running smoothly.

This is a hands-on position for someone who loves creating memorable dining experiences. This is a vibrant, fun and exciting restaurant to work in, in one of the coolest areas in Sydney, Bondi Beach.

The role is perfect for a seasoned Supervisor looking to take the next step or an experienced Assistant Manager looking for new opportunities.

Requirements and abilities;

  • Good social media/ marketing knowledge
  • Good phone manner and negotiation skills
  • Manage front and back of house operations
  • Working product knowledge of all food and beverage and the ability to impart knowledge to staff
  • Consistently review operations and staff to identify any problems, concerns and opportunities for improvement
  • Create a positive guest experience by delivering a high level of service and ensure all staff engage guests to understand their needs and exceed expectations
  • Follow restaurant policies and procedures, including those for cash handing and safety/security
  • Assist in new menu promotions and marketing drives
  • Conduct staff training sessions and daily briefings
  • Able to work weekends and nights, restaurant is open 6 nights a week
