We are looking for a commercially focused, value adding Management Accountant to join a successfully growing, highly awarded independent creative agency. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the financial maintenance of specific corporate entities including the underlying accuracy of financial data, adhering to monthly reporting deadlines, meeting external requirements along with other financial requirements for the operation of these corporate entities.  

Main Duties

  • Prepare weekly cashflow and working capital reports for review 
  • Manage Assistant Account (overseeing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Banking functions) 
  • Preparation of monthly P&L’s and monthly reports for all entities for approval of Finance Director Management of company FX requirements and monthly reconciliations 
  • Balance sheet reconciliations 
  • Inter-company reconciliations and reports 
  • Department monthly P&L and profitability reporting 
  • Management of all company insurances, BAS, tax and PAYG requirements 
  • Attend to and assist with finance related queries from staff 
  • Accurate and timely completion of month end and year-end reconciliations and reports 
  • Ad hoc duties as required   

What do you need to have?

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal 
  • Degree qualified (CA/CPA preferred) 
  • Experience working within a small/medium sized commercial business (creative agency experienced preferred but not required) 
  • Knowledge of statutory reporting and tax compliance 
  • Excellent problem solving skills and analytical skills 
  • Proficient time management skills and ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks within strict timeframes. 
  • Proactive attitude and ability to improve efficiency 
  • Sound accuracy and attention to detail 
  • Strong team work skills and the ability to effectively coach team members.
