Opportunity 1 – Studio Design Assistant Job Code #3656

Key accountabilities and responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Manage the patterns, maintain the pattern library and samples to go with the patterns
  • Manage in-house sample cutting workflow with interns.
  • Coordinate and manage the fit sessions
  • Assisting with the completion of garment design and specification sheets.
  • Communicating clearly with local sample machinists for desired finish.
  • Assisting with preparation, fitting and styling of seasonal look book photo shoot.
  • Assisting in seasonal garment fittings and performance.
  • Conducting handover meetings with Production Manager.
  • Tracing off final sample patterns for offshore development for production tech packs.
  • Communicating clearly with offshore factories for desired finish.
  • Offshore PPS inspection, measurement, documentation and approval. Providing thorough feedback to
  • production manager for offshore bulk and protos etc.
  • Liasing with graders on any issues with PPS and pattern changes for bulk.
  • Offshore and local bulk quality inspection and feedback on full size range prior to delivery

Opportunity 2 – Production Assistant – Job Code #3660

  • Work with the Production Manager to establish critical path dates for upcoming range releases and deliveries
  • Manage all aspects of the production process from initial sampling to bulk delivery and ensuring target delivery dates are met
  • Liaise with offshore suppliers to establish price
  • Prepare costings and negotiate prices on bulk items
  • Negotiate terms of production arrangements and place production orders with offshore manufacturers
  • Organize and distribute salesman samples for national and international agents
  • Monitor orders to ensure garments meet pre-determined specifications and quality and customer deliveries are met
  • Book labels, trims and accessories and ensure delivery dates are maintained
  • Resolve production issues
  • Maintain communication with offshore suppliers and source new suppliers
  • Liaise with our internal shipping/warehouse manager to keep abreast of deliveries
  • Constant communication with the fashion team regarding deliveries
  • Maintain sample library.
