About the role

Reporting to the Head of A&R, you’ll be a part of a team at the centre of a busy creative powerhouse, contributing your ideas and energy to fuelling the careers of the most exciting talent in Australian and international electronic, dance and indie music. You’ll be tasked with helping uncover the next big things to hit the music and events landscape and help craft messaging and content for our labels and artists on social media.

Core responsibilities

  • Identifying exciting new artists and upcoming trends.
  • Developing artists.
  • Curating remix packages.
  • Compiling release assets.
  • Creating promo plans for upcoming releases.
  • Assisting with marketing strategies and content ideas.
  • Researching and analysing market trends.
  • Creating and managing social media content for our labels and artists.
  • Ad hoc writing tasks including artist bios, album blurbs, company profiles and web content.

About you

  • Tertiary qualification in a related discipline.
  • Experience in a record label, artist management, event promotion setting, DJ’ing or similar.
  • Demonstrated understanding of online music portals.
  • Knowledge of music production software and terminology.
  • Passion for electronic, dance and indie music and a keen ear for discovering new talent.
  • Relationship and client management.
  • Problem solving to maintain internal and external stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated experience in marketing products to specific audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience in MS Office – including intermediate Excel and Outlook skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Analytical mind-set.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills.
  • Effective time management.
  • Timely and proactive problem solving.
  • Can demonstrate initiative.
