This App Lets You Pimp Your Place With Virtual Plants If You’re The Type To Kill Real Ones

Plant Life Balance

If you haven’t downloaded this baby already, here’s your friendly reminder that the good people at Plant Life Balance have an app that lets you see what your home will look like packed with plants.

All you have to do is choose from 18 professionally-styled living looks, both indoor and outdoor, take a picture of your space, and then drag and drop your favourite plants into your room.

The Aussie app will score your design on air quality and wellbeing, based on what kind and how many plants you add to your hypothetical room / outdoor space. The type of plants are divided into different categories depending on how much sunlight your room gets, including full sun, mostly sunny, dappled light, and full shade. Once you’ve picked a plant, drag it onto your picture and get virtually styling.

Plant Life Balance have some great information online about how just a few plants can help make you feel more relaxed, inspired, and positive. Partnering with scientists at RMIT and the University of Melbourne, Plant Life Balance learnt that just one plant in a room (4x5m space) can improve your air quality by 25 per cent.

Once you’re ready to commit, you can check out Plant Life Balance’s online finder to track down your nearest accredited nursery.

The Plant Life Balance app is available on both the App Store and Google Play. To be honest, the app is also just super relaxing to use. Love me some virtual styling.

If you’re looking for another iso hobby, Plant Life Balance also have a great windowsill veggie garden guide. You can learn how to set up your own herb garden, which is just a tad cute.
