Lucy Liu Paints Lesbian Portraits As A Side Hustle & Honestly, Same

Hear ye, hear ye! Come one, come all! I have delightful news that is bound to restore your faith in humanity: Lucy Liu – queen of many talents – paints lesbian portraits as a side hustle.

This is the epitome of gay rights, and I could not stan this harder if I tried.

Now, this isn’t some recently-exposed secret. In fact, she’s actually been a world-renowned painter for quite a while. According to Artsy, she’s been showing her work in the US, Germany, Canada and the UK since ’93.

She used to paint under her Chinese name Yu Ling until 2011, when she decided to openly share her talents with the world. Since then, her work – albeit incredible – has flown under the radar… until recently.

It’s now come to Twitter’s attention that many of Liu’s pieces focus on queer female erotic art, and it’s these portraits that have since amassed a lot of attention and adoration.

I agree with this whole-heartedly – I’m so disappointed in my queer self that I didn’t know this sooner!

I honestly didn’t think I could love her any harder but, well, here we are.

Feel free to check out Liu’s work via her website. Gay rights.
