Now, this isn’t some recently-exposed secret. In fact, she’s actually been a world-renowned painter for quite a while. According to Artsy, she’s been showing her work in the US, Germany, Canada and the UK since ’93.
She used to paint under her Chinese name Yu Ling until 2011, when she decided to openly share her talents with the world. Since then, her work – albeit incredible – has flown under the radar… until recently.
It’s now come to Twitter’s attention that many of Liu’s pieces focus on queer female erotic art, and it’s these portraits that have since amassed a lot of attention and adoration.
I might be late but do you know Lucy Liu under the pseudonym Yu Ling (which is her Chinese name) is a world renowned artist known. Many of her artworks centres around lesbians!
Like we need more reasons to love her.
