The Trend Towards Full-Body Activewear’s Gonna Make Peeing A Real Bitch

We’re pleased / horrified to report that the latest trend in activewear is full-body jumpsuits, depending on how you feel about that.

As per the trend bible (Who What Wear), activewear jumpsuits have been creeping up on us without the screeching fanfare they probably deserve.

The glass began to shatter when Kylie Jenner released images from her new Puma campaign last week, which included a vampire-esque pic of her in a curve-hugging, high performance bodysuit and a spectacularly big top knot situation to boot.

Looking a little further, and it turns out that Jonathan Simkhai had included a cutout bodysuit in his just-released collaboration with Carbon38. This look? It’s strong as hell.

Retail: $210 (AU$274).

And of course, Yeezy‘s been dropping bodysuits since at least Season 3. (Although these aren’t strictly activewear, the line between activewear and streetwear has been blurring for yonks.)

Step up in this bitch like….

Then we looked even further than that, and it turns out high-end activewear labels like Stella McCartney, Michi, Lucas High and Live The Process have all released bodysuits in the past 12 months.

The result? You can expect to see this stomach-tightening look filtered down into the more affordable activewear brands within the next two years.

While it begs to be seen why anyone would willingly exercise in activewear that’s even harder to take off than the dreaded sweat bra, or one that requires a full commitment to nudity whenever you need to take a slash, there’s no doubt that when pulled off, this look is some straight-up fire.
