This Aussie babe lives life in technicolor, globetrotting her way through summers in both hemispheres, posting her impressive world views to instagram, where she’s amassed a following of more than 66K and counting…
It’s surprising then, that Emma’s so chill about the whole ‘online experience’, spending only a few seconds of each day online, so she has plenty of time for her to do “other things”, like trekking Machu Picchu, swimming with whale sharks in the Caribbean, and playing with her dog Penny Lane at home here in Sydney.
We caught up with Emma to chat about her recent world adventure, current obsessions and and her second-lot of summer goals for 2015:
PEDESTRIAN.TV: You’ve just come back from a trip that spanned in Europe, USA, Central and South America… give us a quick highlights reel; what were your three top ‘pinch-me’ moments?
EMMA LUCEY: It was such a huge trip, so it’s hard to pinpoint a few, but three times I pretty much wept in happiness were…
1. Walking up Machu Picchu before sunrise and watching the sun rays break over the mountains and light up the ancient city. I did cry a little…
2. Swimming with a dozen whale sharks in the Caribbean off Mexico. I almost collided with one head on while swimming alongside another. Mental!
3. I’m a massive Harry Potter fan so spending a day in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios in Orlando, USA almost brought me to tears, too. Spent a few good hours drinking in the Hogs Head too, of course.
Being such an prolific traveller, what are some of your top websites/apps to get ready for a trip?
Kayak has been my favourite for flights this year, and Trip Advisor is my bible.
You blog is called Spin Dizzy Fall, but if you had to rename it in emojis, what would that look like?

Health & Wellbeing – Tropical fruit
Fitness – Nature motivates me most to ‘exercise’, I consider it more exploring than exercise though.

Food/Drink – Ever since the States I’ve obsessed with trying ALL the burgers. And thick shakes…mmm.
Fashion – Right now I’m kind of obsessing over sunglasses…it’s almost becoming an issue.

What do you look for in a summer sidekick and who’s yours?
MUST LOVE: chilling at the beach, swimming at the beach, drinking at the beach. Appetite for adventure, also necessary. I’ve got a few sweet sidekicks but feel free to apply within and join the squad. 🙂

What motivates me most are the people I meet while travelling; hearing their stories and realising there’s so much more out there to do an explore. I think, if you’re going to get through most of it, you’ll have to start now, and what better time to do it?
What are you goals for summer 2015 (second time ’round)?
I set really obscure, semi-realistic goals for myself. My first goal was to learn an instrument, so I taught myself the ukelele. The next goal I want to get done before the year is up is to hold a huge python. Like Britney, bitch. Fingers crossed!
