For anyone who’s ever watched Total Wipeout and smugly thought they could do better, your time is now.
ROC Race – the first and original game show-inspired 5K fun run feat. a fuckton of obstacles courses that are guaranteed to make a fool of you – is coming to Australia for the first time in 2016.
Responsible for making our foam-filled belly-floppin’ wet dreams come true are the event producers behind rainbow dust storm The Color Run Australia, so you know it’s gonna be good.
ROC Race spokesperson Tim Wiche is giddy with excitement to be bringing the water obstacle race, which started stateside, to our fair shores:
“Everyone is eager and waiting for an event like this to happen because it’s always been limited to theme parks or one-obstacle events, but this is the first time ever in the country that we’ve been able to combine so many kinds of water activities.”
With nine glorious obstacles courses – including the iconic Wrecking Balls, The Sweeper, Jump Balls, The World’s Largest Moon Bounce (an open-top jumping castle for adults) and The World’s Largest Inflatable Water Slide – the chance of bruising for days-on-end has never been more real.
Dates and venues are yet to be confirmed for every city but Melbourne, who gets its day in the sun on February 13, with presale tix available on September 15.
