Xbox just unleashed a whole heap of fresh gaming content onto the world during its pre-E3 briefing, including details on its upcoming console codenamed Project Scarlet. Here’s the best of what was unveiled.

The Outer Worlds

First up, we got a flashy new trailer for Obsidian‘s upcoming space RPG, The Outer Worlds. Suss it below.

Bleeding Edge

A third-person, 4 vs 4 multiplayer game which looks kinda like a mutated Overwatch with a focus on melee combat. Trailer below.

Ori and the Will of the Wisps

The beautiful new Ori title has got a release date of February 11 2020, as well as a fancy new trailer.

Minecraft Dungeons

Diablo, but it’s Minecraft. A pixelated dungeon crawler which is due out in our Autumn, 2020. See the new trailer below.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

In addition to EA‘s gameplay reveal yesterday, Fallen Order got a schmick new trailer, which, of course, is below.

The game is due for release on November 15.

Blair Witch

I definitely thought this was going to be a new Outlast title, but no, it’s actually a Blair Witch game. Make of that what you will.

Cyberpunk 2077

Holy shit, what a ride. Not only did we get a new trailer, but we also got Keanu Reeves in the game and in the flesh, who revealed the highly anticipated game’s release date as April 16, 2020.

Battletoads

They’re back baby! The toads who battled in the NES days will soon be battling on Xbox. Trailer below.

Flight Simulator

A new and fresh Microsoft Flight Simulator game with stunning visuals, which is mad if that’s you’re kinda jam. See the vibes below.

Age of Empires II Definitive Edition

A classic strategy game with a fresh coat of paint and new campaigns. What’s not to love?

Psychonauts 2

I’ll be honest, I never played the first Psychonauts, but judging by this new trailer, it’s a real ride.

Lego Star Wars – The Skywalker Saga

All nine Star Wars movies crammed into one game which is also lego. You get the gist.

Dragon Ball Z Kakarot

Screaming, punching, power levels, and long-ass fights are pretty much what’s on offer here. A wave of weekday morning cartoon nostalgia washed over me during the entire thing. See it for yourself below.

12 Minutes

An incredibly interesting title described as an interactive thriller about a man trapped in a time loop. Dope.

Way to the Woods

Some more footage from the insanely pretty game by developer Anthony Tan. Due out in 2020.

Gears 5

A new trailer for the upcoming entry into the Gears of War franchise. Due for release on September 10 this year.

Crossfire

I have very little idea of what’s going on in this game, but it looks kinda cool. Trailer below.

Elden Ring

The upcoming game that George R. R. Martin consulted on, in development with From Software, so you know it’s gonna be hard as all fuck.

Project Scarlet

The brand new Xbox console, only known as Project Scarlet for the moment, will be released in the holiday season of 2020, which is probably a lot sooner than many were anticipating.

Microsoft is working with AMD for the processor and will be capable of frame rates up to 120fps, we were told. In other words, it’s going to be a powerful motherfucker.

The console will launch with Halo Infinite, and speaking of which…

Halo Infinite

We have a new trailer for the game, which centres quite a lot around an unnamed man and his sentimental ties to home. See it below.

All in all, Microsoft pulled a lot out of its hat this year, which was certainly expected given PlayStation‘s absence. There’s still a lot we’d like to know about Project Scarlet, but it’s great to know when we can expect a release.

We’re on the ground here in LA, so keep an eye out for more juicy gaming coverage throughout the week.
