‘Jurassic World’ Cops ‘Pokémon GO’-Style Game With A Dino-Packed Trailer

Have you ever asked yourself, ‘what if Pokémon GO, but Jurassic World?’ Well Universal has, and its answer is something called Jurassic World: Alive.

As you can probably tell, the idea is almost identical to Pokémon GO, but you’re hunting down dinosaurs instead little pocket beasties. While collecting creatures is certainly part of the game, you don’t necessarily have to leave the comfort of your house to play.

The game allows you to build up a collection of little dino buddies, create your own via hybrid DNA, and make them fight in battle. Shit yeah, DINO WARS, BITCH. If you’re particularly lazy, you can send out an in-game drone to collect DNA for you.

It’ll have more than 100 dinosaurs available at launch, but will be regularly updated with more as time goes on. It’s uncertain what you need to do to catch the beasties, but I’m sure more details will emerge soon enough.

You can check out the upcoming game’s announcement trailer below.

Jurassic World: Alive is in development with Montreal studio, Ludia, who are the same folks behind 2012’s Jurassic Park Builder and 2015’s Jurassic World: The Game.

There’s no exact release date for it just yet, but you can pre-register right now at this link if you’re keen. When it does drop, it’ll be available on both iOS and Android devices.
