This Vid Of A Pro Gamer Caught Cheating In Middle Of An Esports Comp Will Make You Cringe Into Eternity

A pro gamer has been disqualified from a high-level tournament after it was discovered he was cheating, Polygon report. The very moment was caught on video and shows the player awkwardly trying to delete the files just as the comp admins discovered his bullshit.

NikhilforsakenKumawat played for the professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) team, OpTic India, and was competing in the Extremesland Zowie Asia CS:GO 2018 tournament which was being held in Shanghai and had a total prize pool of $US100,000 ($140,955).

You can check out the video in the tweet below. You can see old mate start to flip out at around the 13-second mark.

Kumawat was allegedly using something called an aimbot, which automatically locks on to enemy players, effectively allowing him to pull off perfect shots regardless of his own abilities. Cheats like these are installed via third-party files, which is what he was probably trying to delete in the video.

The whole team was kicked from the event and afterwards, they booted Kumawat from OpTic India but eventually dissolved the team altogether. According to the rest of them, they had no idea he was cheating and if they did know, they wouldn’t have stood for it.

Apparently, it’s not the first time old mate has been called out for cheating, either. In 2017, he received a six-month ban from the Esports League for triggering Valve‘s Anti-Cheat system in CS:GO.

More images below show that he tried to hide the hacks as “word.exe” and other file extensions.

It’s disappointing to see something like this make it so high up in the esports world, so it’s a good thing they caught the pro gamer. Cheating is scummy as hell.
