Just in time for Christmas, the now-deservedly very rich lads at Melbourne production outfit House House are set to give Xbox and Playstation users the greatest gift of all: The gift of being a horrible, awful goose.

Untitled Goose Game, the undisputed runaway gaming hit of the year, is finally being ported across to the Sony and Microsoft platforms after spending the past three months dominating the charts on Windows, Mac, and Nintendo Switch.

What’s more, the game is set to arrive on Xbox and Playstation marketplaces by this time next week, with a release date of December 17th now set in stone.

House House confirmed the new release date earlier this morning on social media, with a casual reminder of just how awful that terrible goose really is (very).

The game was a runaway success after its initial release back in September, where it managed to beat out even The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening on the day of its release. The game wound up topping the Switch sales charts in Australia, the US, and the UK, and shifted in excess of 100,000 copies in its first two weeks alone.

A pre-Christmas arrival on the much larger Xbox and Playstation networks feels like a very massive license to print Fuck You money, and honestly? Give ’em everything. Every dollar and every cent. They can have it all. Because they have given unto the world the ability to wreck shit across a town while playing as a terrible, godawful goose. And there are very few pure joys left in this shit of a world that come close.

Get stuck into Untitled Goose Game on Xbox and Playstation from the 17th, which is Tuesday next week, for those of you keeping score at home.
