This month marks The Witcher series’ tenth anniversary and to celebrate, CD Project Red has released an unbearably cute ode to you, the player.
Uploaded to YouTube, the video shows Ciri walking into a packed tavern as Geralt delivers a monologue. Basically, he details what he and the main characters have been getting up to after the last game and man, it sounds pretty sweet.
“Things are good here, you know, I’m good,” he says. “We play Gwent, drink wine, swipe grapes from Anna Henrietta‘s vineyards, the odd moonlit night. Vesemir‘d enjoy that especially.”
His attention then turn to the camera, acknowledging the wild times you and he have had over the years. You can’t help but smile when he mentions it.
“Been through hell and high water, you and me. The fact is, you know me better than anyone else does.”
Oh god, my emotions. Stop it.
“Thanks for everything and know we all miss you, old friend.”
Please, no more, it’s totally fine, Geralt.
“So, It might be my birthday, but I say, here’s to you!”
I’M NOT CRYING. I’M NOT.
