The sequel to 2014’s Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor copped a new trailer during today’s Microsoft briefing at Gamescom in Germany. Some are stoked with the new content for Shadow of War while others are concerned about the graphical quality shown in the video.
Announced back in February this year, the upcoming title is a completely open world RPG set between the events of J.R.R. Tolkien‘s The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings.
The hectic new trailer shows a myriad of monsters that you’ll no doubt be carving up throughout the game. There’s a shitload of spiders, a big ol’ dragon and a weird half-bull, half-orc bloke. Suss it out below.
Fans of the series sure are frothing on the latest peek into Middle-Earth.

The more I see of Mordor Shadow of War, the less excited for it I become.

Shadows of War looks like it’s shaping up to be a massive release and as we’ve learnt over the years, you don’t always have to have flashy visuals to make a great game.
That being said, we won’t know for sure until the game is released on October 10 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
