Sorry Cowboys, ‘Red Dead Redemption 2’ Has Been Pushed Back Yet Again

Rockstar Games, the lauded production company behind Red Dead Redemption, has revealed the release of Red Dead Redemption 2 has been delayed. Again.

The sequel to the lauded open-world Western RPG will now be in your clammy mitts on October 26, despite the fact Rockstar had already pushed its release date back to the middle of this year.

In a statement, Rockstar Games apologised to gamers who’ve been waiting a cool eight years for the saga’s second instalment.

“We apologize to everyone disappointed by this delay,” Rockstar said. “While we had hoped to have the game out sooner, we require a little extra time for polish.

“We sincerely thank you for your patience and hope that when you get to play the game, you will agree the wait will have been worth it.”

While it’s hardly the longest break between sequels – we’re thinking of one that rhymes with Nalf-Dife Brie – it is a bit shit for folks keen to ride horses, fire off revolvers, and generally experience Grand Theft Auto 5 on the prarie.
