The 8th generation of Pokémon games was finally announced last week, and fans went absolutely hog-wild for them. While Sword and Shield are the two variations players will get to choose from, a Mexican newspaper added a non-existent third, mistaking a popular meme for an actual game.

Posted to Twitter by @cin_ceja and spotted by Destructoid, the publication, La voz de Michoacán, allegedly printed a story on the Nintendo announcement but included the title, Pokémon Gun, which is obviously not a real game. Hilariously, they even used the fake logo from the meme. Check out the pics in the tweet below.

Unreal. I guess I can see how it might look a little legit if you had no idea about Pokémon, but come on, Pokémon Gun? No way, man. To be fair, though, one of the original memes got an incredible amount of traction, so I guess some people actually fell for it.

You gotta admit, it’s pretty funny. You can also see the entire thing below.

Pokémon Sword and Shield are expected to drop later this year for the Nintendo Switch. The games take place in the brand new Galar region, which many fans think is based on the UK, sending English and Scottish Twitter into a full-blown meltdown.

Just to be clear, folks, there’s no such thing as Pokémon Gun.
