You Can Download A Lite Version Of ‘FIFA’ Competitor ‘PES 2018’ For Free RN

Konami‘s FIFA 18 competitor, Pro Evolution Soccer 2018, has just made a big play for football gaming supremacy, allowing players to download a decently packed version of the game for free.

PES 2018 Lite contains the online myClub and PES League mode, along with the offline training and exhibition modes. Of course, if you wanna get amongst the single-player Master League mode, you’ll have to dish out for the full game.

It’s a smart play by Konami, who clearly want to get FIFA fans hooked on the alternate franchise by offering a free taste of their offering. You can get it right now on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.

Now the bad news – if you plan on grabbing this for PC, you might need to wait for the game to cop an update first. According to a swathe of Steam reviews, the game doesn’t work at all, giving users a completely black screen and nothing else.

Since its launch yesterday, the game has received a 28% positive rating out of 95 reviews, dubbed as “Mostly Negative” on the platform. Console versions don’t appear to be suffering from the same issue.

It’s a shaky start for the free game, but with a bug this severe, they’re likely working away on a patch as we speak. Well, you’d bloody hope they are. You can suss out the trailer below if you feel like this is something you might enjoy.
